The Turtlemeter is so cute! We really do love this little guy, I think one of the best things about this floating turtle toy and bath tub thermometer is that it can encourage water safety and independence in older children too. For older children, wanting to be given more responsibility at bath time, this product is second to none. Of course their should be constant adult supervision at all times, but with the way this product augments both the digital display of temperature (in Celsius) with the blue for cold, green for just right, and red for hot colours, it’s easy for older children to see when the water is at the correct temperature. At this age it’s good to start developing some independence skills and this turtle makes it very easy and very fun for them. Another huge plus point to the blue, green or red light indicators are that it makes it easier for people with impaired vision to prepare for bath time.
The turtle meter reads and updates the temperature every second and activates automatically when placed into the bath. It floats naturally and is fully submersible, so it’s a fun and safe bath toy that doubles as a bath thermometer. When used as a bath thermometer it gives a reading very quickly in celsius. It floats well to give an easy reading and can be kept in the bath and played with as it’s certified as a bath toy. Even when wet the LCD display is clear and easy to read. It requires 3 AAA batteries and they’re included. To turn it off, like most ‘dampness detector’ products, just rub the little metal sensors that are on the base briefly against a towel.
